The home of Sherborne St John FC is:

The Chute Recreation Ground,
Vyne Road,
Sherborne St John,
Hampshire. RG24 9HX.

Note: the postcode given above is actually for Vyne Meadow which is a cul-de-sac opposite the entrance to the Chute.

The village of Sherborne St John is on the A340 between Basingstoke and Tadley. Below we give two routes to the ground:
one coming from the south (ie. from Basingstoke) to Sherborne St John and one coming from the north (ie. from Tadley).

From Basingstoke:

You should exit the Ringway North, ie. the A339, at the Aldermaston Road Roundabout and take the A340 in the direction of Aldermaston. Keep on the main road at the traffic lights and go past the North Hampshire Hospital on your left. You will go past the Ambulance Station, again on your left, and then start going down a hill. At the bottom of this hill you need to turn right into Elm Road. Follow Elm Road until you drive into the village of Sherborne St John and follow the road round a sharp right-hand bend; at this point you're now in Vyne Road. The entrance to the Chute is on the right approximately four hundred metres further down the road.

From Tadley:

As you enter Sherborne St John from Tadley, southbound on the A340, you go round a sharp left-hand bend and then, just as the A340 takes a sharp right-hand bend to carry on up the hill, you need to take a left turn, off of the A340, into Cranes Road. Carry on along Cranes Road until you get to the T-junction at the very end. Turn left at the junction into Elm Road and follow the road round a sharp right-hand bend; at this point you're now in Vyne Road. The entrance to the Chute is on the right approximately four hundred metres further down the road.

Parking:

Should you find the car park at the Chute full, carry on for another three hundred metres down Vyne Road to Kestrel Court which will come up on your left; feel free to use this as an overflow parking area. Please appreciate that emergency vehicles may need access to the football pitches during a game; irresponsible parking in the Chute car park could obviously hinder their progress and have serious consequences for an injured player.
